Our brother, John, was a Marine pilot back in the day, flying CH-53E Super Stallions for the Marines under the call sign “Rico” (from the 1990s Gerardo classic “Rico Suave”). He earned his call sign on account of his utterly FEARLESS fashion sense (let’s just say the man was no stranger to seersucker…). Equally fearless is his recipe for a tropical-inspired chewy yummy bar, featuring white chocolate, shredded coconut, candied ginger and pineapple, and macadamia nuts with a gingersnap crust. We hew closely to Rico’s original recipe, only swapping in sweetened condensed coconut milk to make our bars extra-tropical (and vegan, to boot!)
