Pumpkin or sweet potato? To be honest, we at Shubie’s are agnostic on the subject - we think both are pretty fantastic, especially when autumn rolls around! We grew up on pumpkin pie, which Ma would bake special for Halloween. But spend any time in the South, and the balance of power shifts toward sweet potato pie. We make ours using freshly-roasted sweet potatoes and autumnal spices, and bake it in our buttery, flakey crust. You could top it with some Dutch whipped cream, and we wouldn’t blame you, but it’s pretty special all on its own!
